WCAC was founded by Dr. James L. Chappuis, MD, FACS, who has long been a proponent of the cultural development of Atlanta’s West Midtown, as well as an avid art collector and leader in the art world. WCAC’s goal is to challenge the way viewers observe and interact with Atlanta’s art scene by stimulating social awareness through avant-garde exhibitions, performances and events. In addition to housing a gallery-in-residence, WCAC creates a living gallery that supports a rotating collection of local, regional and internationally recognized artists and serves as a crisp and modern event venue.

DL Warfield “FavoriteThing”

DL Warfield, a roundly respected and highly accomplished creative crusader, having a multitude of talent, motivation and persistence has always been a good thing. Yet his theory, one which has made him one of the most revered persons in the creative field, is that good could never substitute for greatness. Having the insight and intuition of a great artist, along with the intensity and prolific vision of a genius, have proven critical to his success. It is Warfield’s continued ambition, undaunted aspiration, and personal commitment to artistic elevation that pushes him to bring new ideas to creation and fearlessly pursue whatever comes next, giving every project a golden touch.

Art doesn’t complete us – it makes us realize what we long for. Art shows us what came before and is a prelude to what is yet to come. A brilliant piece of art will bring the storm out of you. You may even discover a new mood or an underlying emotion each time you look at it. Isn’t that what makes the intensity of this colorful chaos so beautiful? Art is infinite. Art is liberation – freedom of the brush’s next move. Art is everything between blank canvas and the finishing stroke, yet far beyond what the eye alone can ever behold.” Dr. Dinesh Sharma

Aaron Whitehouse “FLOW” Art Opening Friday, March 9 /  7-10pm. On Exhibition through Friday March 30, 2018.

This body of work (FLOW)  is meant to sow seeds of peace within the viewer- the calming feeling experienced when standing on the beach and taking in a deep breath is really what it’s about. It is also a meditation on surfing/surf culture and the art of flow. The idea that I could bring those simple yet powerful feelings to a major city with all it’s clamoring sounds and sensory overload is one I feel worth exploring…” – Aaron Whitehouse  For more information, please click here:
